In the third century, two Roman soldiers loved each other so much that one converted to Christianity so as not to lose the other in the afterlife.
The Church canonized them, dedicated such an icon to them and called it "sublime spiritual friendship."

They were called St. Sergius and St. Bacchus.
They were martyrs. Tortured and humiliated by forcing them to dress as women. They refused to participate in pagan sacrifices. They persecuted and killed them.


En el siglo III, dos soldados romanos se querían tanto que uno se convirtió al cristianismo para no perder al otro en la otra vida.
La Iglesia los canonizó, dedicó un loro icono similar y lo llamó "sublime amistad espiritual".

Se llamaban San Sergio y San Baco.
Fueron mártires. Torturados y humillados obligándoles a vestirse de mujeres. Se negaron a participar en sacrificios paganos. Los persiguieron y mataron.
